Overview
PillowMommy is a custom-pillow brand in the gifting space β a client that we believed in so much it became an internal Twinleaf brand. They had only ever sold on Etsy and wanted to build a direct-to-consumer business they actually owned: off-platform, on their own store, with their own audience.
The Challenge
No Shopify experience, no DTC presence, and no owned audience. Everything lived on Etsy, where they didn't control the customer relationship and were capped on how far they could grow. The entire operation had to be built from scratch.
Our Solution
We stood up the whole business end to end. We launched their Shopify store, set up their social media, and ran an organic deployment strategy that produced several viral videos β with Twinleaf's internal VA team keeping social running consistently. On content, we leaned into social-native messaging that made the product instantly understandable. Instead of over-engineering the creative like most agencies do, we simply put the product in front of the right people in the most presentable way possible. That's what built a high-converting audience that still buys organically today. Behind the scenes, we went through many rounds of revision on nearly every facet of the customer experience β add-to-cart upsells, post-purchase upsells, shopping-page upsells, and more β testing and refining each step to squeeze more value out of every visitor and push average order value higher.
